Flash flooding and thunderstorms left more than 10,000 Duke Energy customers without electricity Tuesday afternoon, according to the company’s online outage map. The number had decreased to around 2,000 by 9:30 p.m.
The outages were most heavily concentrated in Roselawn and Rookwood, but thousands of people in Avondale and Northern Kentucky were also affected.
Duke estimated power would be restored to most customers by midnight.
