At 5:23 a.m. Wednesday, the the National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for east-central Switzerland County (Ind.) and the following Kentucky counties:
- Kenton County
- Campbell County
- Southern Boone County
- Northern Pendleton County
- Eastern Gallatin County
The warning lasts until 6 a.m. Wednesday. For your protection, they recommend moving to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
At 4:38 a.m. Wednesday, the National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for east-central Ripley County and central Dearborn County to last until 5 a.m.
Locations impacted include Lawrenceburg, Greendale, Bright, Hidden Valley, Milan, Moores Hill, Guilford, Logan, Manchester, West Harrison, Mount Sinai, Cold Springs, Dover and Interstate 74 at U.S. Route 52.
The warning was canceled at 4:49 a.m. and downgraded to a "severe weather statement."
"The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe limits, and no longer appears capable of producing a tornado," the alert stated.

DEFINITIONS:
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means atmospheric conditions are favorable for the development of severe thunderstorms.
A Severe Thunderstorm Warning means a severe thunderstorm has developed that is capable of producing hail greater than one inch in diameter and or 58 mph wind speeds.
A Tornado Watch means weather conditions are favorable for the development of severe thunderstorms that are capable of producing tornadoes.
A Tornado Warning means that a tornado has been sighted or indicated by weather radar and residents of the affected area should take shelter immediately.
