Heavy rain, flooding shut down major roadways across the Tri-State

CINCINNATI — Heavy rain Monday into Tuesday has caused flooding and road closures across the Tri-State.

The following roads were closed Tuesday afternoon:

  • Mosteller Road exit at I-275
  • I-275 westbound, between I-275 and Mosteller, near mile marker 44
  • Off-ramp on I 71 SB at Dana Ave/Exit 5
  • Hwy 747 at Union Centre Blvd
  • Kirby and Virginia avenues (MSD work)

Springfield Township

  • Lakeridge Road (Between McKelvey Road and Lochcrest Road)
  • Miles Road (Between Daly Road and Mill Road)

Symmes Township

  • East Kemper Road at Twightee Road

Anderson Township

  • Debolt Road at Clear Creek Road
  • Turpin Lane

As of 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, the following roads were closed in Warren County:

  • East Mason-Morrow-Milgrove at Stubbs Mill
  • Hamilton Road from Highway 741 and Mason-Montgomery Road
  • Mason Montgomery Road from Shadow Lake Trailer Park to Hamilton Road
  • Front Street (Morrow) from Hazen to Morrow Blackhawk Road
  • EAst Mason-Morrow-Millgrove Road between Highway 123 and Stubbs Mill
  • Corwin Avenue between U.S. 42 and New Burlington Road
  • Lower Springboro Road from Pioneer Road to E. Fourth Street (Franklin)
  • EB Ohio 73 from Breiel Boulevard (Middletown) to Dixie Highway (Franklin)
  • Ohio 123 from Sunset Drive to Welcome Way (Carlisle)
  • Columbia Road from U.S. 42 to Turtlecreek Road
  • Old 3C at Foster-Maineville Road
  • Davis Road from Primrose Drive to Old 3C
  • Kings Mills Road
  • Zoar Road has high water across the roadway by the bike trail

As of 7 a.m. Tuesday, cities across the Tri-State received 2 to 5 inches of rainfall. Hamilton, Ohio saw 2.10", while Bellevue, Kentucky had 5.06” of rain.
