LOCKLAND, Ohio — Drivers who take the Shepherd Lane bridge over Interstate 75 need to prepare for a new route starting Wednesday evening.
The bridge will be closed until approximately July, 2020, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation, for demolition and construction of a new bridge.
The bridge over I-75 essentially splits Lockland and Lincoln Heights.
ODOT officials said the ramps to Shepherd Lane will remain open with the following detours:
- West Shepherd Lane traffic: North I-75 to Glendale Milford Road to south I-75 to Shepherd Lane.
- East Shepherd Lane traffic: South I-75 to Galbraith Avenue to north I-75 to Shepherd Lane.
The ramp from Shepherd Lane to northbound I-75 will be closed from 10 p.m. Wednesday until 2 a.m. Thursday for ODOT to prepare for the full bridge closure.
