CINCINNATI — Plan your route wisely Saturday as the bottom deck of the Western Hills Viaduct will close for a routine inspection and scheduled maintenance.
The bottom deck will be closed between 7 a.m. and approximately 3 p.m., according to Cincinnati’s Department of Transportation and Engineering.
Maintenance and inspection includes sweeping, cleaning the deck drains and checking the concrete for damage.
The ramp at exit 2B from southbound Interstate 75 to the Western Hills Viaduct will be closed as well.
Traffic headed east and west will be allowed on the top deck, the city says. Detour signs will be posted, and drivers are encouraged to use caution in the area.
All work is weather pending.
