CINCINNATI — A child that was seriously injured in a crash Thursday on Gilbert Avenue has died, according to the coroner's office.
Allena Edwards, 5, was transported to Cincinnati Children's Hospital in critical condition after a two-vehicle crash closed both directions of Gilbert Avenue between Walter and Blair avenues Thursday evening. Edwards then died from her injuries in the hospital Saturday.
Fire officials said three other people were injured in the crash, including an adult who was trapped inside one of the vehicles. There is no word on how serious the three others were injured.
Police have not said if anyone was arrested after this crash.
