CINCINNNATI — A crash that shut down both directions of Columbia Parkway for almost six hours on Monday killed one person, the Cincinnati Police Department said.
The road was closed between Kemper Lane and Torrence Parkway just before 5 p.m. Police said Julie McGuffin, driving a 1997 Ford Taurus east on Columbia Parkway, went left of center and hit a 2008 Ford E-350 bus.
McGuffin, 28, suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash and later died at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
Police said the crash is still under investigation and have not determined if speed or impairment was a factor.
