COVINGTON, Ky. -- Northern Kentucky drivers had a Tuesday morning traffic headache as crews repaired a joint on the Brent Spence Bridge.
Two northbound lanes were closed, as well as the Fourth Street entrance ramp from Covington.
The lanes reopened by 8:45 a.m., but traffic backups lingered through the area.
The closures were necessary to fix a damaged expansion joint, according to Nancy Wood, spokeswoman for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. Crews had to pour concrete and let it cure for a few hours.
