FLORENCE, Ky. — All lanes have reopened after a pair of crashes caused a major backup on Interstate 71/75 Friday afternoon.
The crashes occurred on the northbound highway near Burlington Pike. Florence Police Capt. Gregory Rehkamp said a woman was out of her vehicle after the first crash when she was struck by another vehicle.
The woman was driven to University of Cincinnati Medical Center for treatment, Rehkamp said. Details on the woman's condition weren't immediately available.
All northbound lanes were closed for a time. Officials reopened the right lane, but the other lanes remained closed until about 5 p.m.
Traffic cameras showed northbound traffic backed up past Richwood.
