Did you know, pre-term birth is the leading cause of death for children under 5 years old? TriHealth is using a minimally invasive, robotic Cerclage to prevent that. The platform basically allows surgeons' hand movements to be mimicked by the robot to open up the birth canal. With this new procedure, patients can go home the same day instead of having a three-day hospital stay plus weeks of recovery time. TriHealth aims to help couples, who may have had difficulties with pregnancy in the past, bring healthy babies home.
