HARLINGEN, Texas -- Cincinnati native JJ Wolf won a pro tennis tournament for the first time Sunday.
Wolf, 18, beat Evan Zhu 6-7(1), 6-1, 6-2 in the final of the Harlingen Country Club Men's $25,000 Futures tournament.
It was his first time in a Futures final.
Wolf is currently a sophomore at the Ohio State University. He's a graduate of Cincinnati Country Day, where he also played soccer. During his time at OSU, Wolf has been named 2017 first team All-Big Ten, 2017 Big Ten Freshman of the Year, 2017 ITA Midwest Region Rookie of the Year and 2017 ITA Scholar-Athlete.
