CINCINNATI — The Cincinnati Bengals will interview Lou Anarumo on Thursday for the Bengals defensive coordinator position. Anarumo is currently the defensive backs coach for the New York Giants.
Sources in the Bengals staff confirmed the meeting with WCPO's Keenan Singleton Tuesday.

Zac Taylor, the new head coach for the Bengals, has been on the prowl for a defensive coordinator. However, Taylor said he was not in a rush to fill the position and was waiting for the "right person."
Anarumo might be that person.

The two previously coached together on the staff of the Miami Dolphins from 2012-2015. Anarumo, 52, also brings some veteran coaching experience that the Bengals hope will complement Taylor as a first-time head coach.
Anarumo has been a coach in the NFL since 2012, but his defensive coordinator experience is limited to when he closed out the 2015 season with the Dolphins as their interim defensive coordinator. Other than this, he has exclusively been a defensive backs coordinator for the Dolphins and the New York Giants.
