Mason baseball standout Nick Northcut had quite the summer.
The senior third baseman/pitcher was selected to play in the Perfect Game All-American Classic in San Diego in August.
A few weeks later, the Vanderbilt commit had the prestigious honor to play in a showcase series at Yankee Stadium and Fenway Park.
Not only did he shine defensively at third base, but Northcut hit three home runs at Yankee Stadium in a two-day event hosted by the Major League Baseball New England Area Scouts.
Northcut and Mason baseball coach Curt Bly joined the WCPO Insider Podcast to discuss this past summer and what may be ahead for one of the nation’s top high school baseball players in the 2018 class.
WCPO’s Keenan Singleton, WCPO.com’s Mike Dyer and TriStateFootball.com’s Greg Shoemaker also discuss the upcoming week of high school football games as Ohio enters Week 4.
