CINCINNATI -- Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy senior quarterback Danny Vanatsky has committed to Ohio State as a preferred walk-on.

Vanatsky, a Division V honorable mention all-state selection, was a first team all-district selection. Vanatsky threw for 1,984 yards and 28 touchdowns for the Eagles this past season.
Ohio State entered the picture late in the recruiting process, according to CHCA coach Mark Mueller.
"It's a great academic school, close to home and will force him to grow up as a quarterback," Mueller told WCPO Friday morning.
Vanatsky was 15 of 18 passing for 327 yards and three touchdowns against Norwood Oct. 20. He was 22 of 25 passing for 299 yards and three touchdowns in the Eagles’ playoff win over Greeneview Nov. 3.
He threw for 2,497 yards and 30 touchdowns in 2016. He threw just four interceptions for the entire 2016 season.
CHCA (8-3) was a Division V regional semifinalist in 2017.
