AKRON, Ohio - Lakota West High School’s dream of a Division I state softball championship disappeared in an offensive barrage by Massillon Perry on Saturday afternoon.
Perry banged out 15 hits and scored all of its runs in the first four innings, capturing its second state title with an 11-1, five-inning triumph at Firestone Stadium

“They found a way to hit every pitch,” West coach Keith Castner said. “We saw them the other day and they really hit the ball very well, and they came today and hit the ball just like they did the other day. They’re a very good team.”
