GREEN TOWNSHIP, Ohio — La Salle High School announced this afternoon it has hired Brian Meyer its next athletic director.

Meyer, the Purcell Marian Athletic Director, has over 10 years of athletic administrative experience.

“We are excited to have Brian Meyer join La Salle High School as our athletic director,” said La Salle Principal Aaron Marshall. “His experience and proven track record of success make him the ideal person to lead our athletic department. I look forward to watching Brian flourish among our students-athletes, coaches, alumni and school community.”

Meyer, a 2000 La Salle graduate, will officially start at La Salle July 1.

Meyer completed a BS in Sports Studies and Health at Miami University with a minor in Coaching. He continued his education in Athletic Administration and is a Certified Athletic Administrator (CAA) through the NIAAA (National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association).

“I am excited to return to my alma mater La Salle,” said Meyer. "La Salle has a long record of proven success. I am proud to be the next Athletic Director of the Lancers and to continue to move the program into the future.”

Prior to his AD positions, he worked as program director and recreation supervisor for local organizations. He also was a high school volleyball coach including five seasons with La Salle.

Meyer succeeds La Salle Interim Athletic Director Jim Barre.

Meyer lives in West Chester with his wife, Ashley, twin boys, Gabriel and Elliott, and daughter, Reagan. They attend mass at St. Susanna Church in Mason.
