Welcome to Week 10.
The Ohio high school football regular season concludes this weekend and the discussion around Greater Cincinnati will be about who earns a playoff spot and what the first-round matchups will look like starting Oct. 29.
The top-ranked Cincinnati-area football teams in Joe Eitel'scomputer points rankings entering Week 10 include: Moeller (7-2), Kings (9-0), Badin (8-0), Wyoming (9-0) and Taft (6-2).
This week's WCPO High School Insider podcast has insight from Kings coach Alex Garvin as the Knights (9-0) have clinched at least a share of the Eastern Cincinnati Conference title after a 35-21 win over visiting Turpin Oct. 15.
Kings is 9-0 for the first time since the 2014 season and can win the ECC outright with a win over host Little Miami this week.
"The culture is awesome," said Kings junior quarterback Will Kocher. "Everything that's going on now is awesome. I love all my teammates. They're just amazing people and I've built so many bonds."
Ohio High School Athletic Association director of media relations Tim Stried offers a glimpse into how the OHSAA is preparing for the football postseason including a trip to Canton for the state finals in December.
You will also hear from Mason girls volleyball coach Lindsey Dinkelacker as the Comets captured their sixth consecutive Greater Miami Conference title and have a 45-0 conference record since 2015.
And you will hear from Norwood soccer standout Summer Ward, who has scored 30 goals this season including five in a game against Clark Montessori last week.
