Ken Griffey Sr. will always remember how his first full Major League Baseball season coincided with Marty Brennaman’s first season in the Reds broadcast booth.
Griffey discussed Brennaman and other topics at length on the WCPO High School Insider Podcast Thursday night at the 49th annual Roger Bacon High School Sports Stag.
“Marty and I are real close,” Griffey told WCPO. “He’s done a heck of a job over the years being an announcer.”
WCPO’s Mike Dyer and TriStateFootball.com’s Greg Shoemaker also interviewed Roger Bacon Athletic Director Steve Rossi, head football coach Mike Blaut and head boys’ basketball coach Brian Neal at the stag.
Blaut discussed the football program at length including the college recruiting of standout 2021 running back Corey Kiner.
