FORT THOMAS, Ky. — Highlands High School head football coach Brian Weinrich stepped down Tuesday, a source close to the program told WCPO.
Weinrich is a Highlands graduate and has been on the athletic staff for 26 years. He started as head coach in 2014, and led the team to a KHSAA Class 4A state championship that season.
The team went 5-6 in 2020 in a season that ended Nov. 28 in a loss to Covington Catholic.
What a year it has been! We are thankful that we were able to have a season and so thankful for each of our 2020 seniors. Thank you for your leadership, dedication and selflessness to our program! #Dominate #BIRDS #ERO
