CINCINNATI -- Northwest’s Brandon Shelton was voted the WCPO Player of the Week for Week 9, registering 2,258 votes (30.86 percent).
The Knights’ quarterback passed for 278 yards and two touchdowns and picked up another 70 yards and a score on the ground against Talawanda.
Shelton edged out Kyle Blaha of Anderson and New Richmond’s Josh Anderson in the voting conducted by TriStateFootball.com. In total, 13 players were nominated with 7,316 votes cast.
