CINCINNATI — FC Cincinnati don’t just like to score goals. They also seem to have a real penchant for breaking records.
The team took to Nippert Stadium Saturday evening in the much-anticipated friendly with English Premier League’s Crystal Palace FC, which drew a record crowd of 35,061 fans, the most to ever gather for a soccer game in the state of Ohio.

The club announced Friday that tickets to the game had sold out, during a season in which they had already broken the United Soccer League attendance record… twice… in a row.
Fans and sports experts alike predicted attendance could outnumber the Reds-Brewers crowd at Great American Ball Park.
No doubt, despite ultimately falling to Crystal Palace 2-0, FC Cincinnati likely walked off the pitch still feeling victorious.
