Former Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict was arrested Saturday in Nevada on a misdemeanor battery charge, according to Clark County court records.
Burfict is currently being held in the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas on a $1,000 bond.
Details about the incident that led to Burfict's arrest are unclear.
Burfict was suspended from the team in 2019 after seven seasons for multiple violations of the unnecessary roughness rules, one notably during a game against the Indianapolis Colts.
