Joe Burrow prepared for his big night at the NFL Draft with a tender moment with his mother and a loving message from his girlfriend.

The Bengals' expected choice as the No. 1 pick made a guest appearance with his mother, an elementary school principal, and recited the Pledge of Allegiance with her as she spoke to her virtual classrooms at the start of the school day.

Burrow's girlfriend, Olivia Holzmacher of Mason, Ohio, posted a photo of the couple on Instagram with the message: “Tonight a new chapter starts! Thankful to be by your side joe and to be a part of the the past three seasons. I’ve had the best experiences and met the best people along the way. So excited for what the future holds. Tonight will be once in a lifetime."

Joe and Olivia met in 2017 while they were both attending Ohio State and have been dating for 2 1/2 years, according to The Sporting News.

Burrow also apologized on Twitter for not getting a haircut and asked for understanding.

And he stocked up on wings for himself and his family while watching the Draft at their home in The Plains, Ohio.
