CINCINNATI — The Bengals waived hometown DT Adolphus Washington Tuesday.

Washington signed with the Bengals last September. He played in four games, making six tackles and a sack before a knee injury put him on the Reserve/Injured list.

The Cincinnati native was a star at Taft High School and Ohio State.

Washington is a fourth-year NFL player. The Buffalo Bills drafted him in 2016, and he played in 31 games with 21 starts for Buffalo. Washington signed to the Dallas Cowboys' practice squad briefly before the Bengals picked him up on Sept. 26.
