Bengals fans got a real kick to the stomach on Friday, when the team announced it will ban tailgating in the parking lots surrounding Paul Brown Stadium this fall.

That's not the only major change coming for the 2020 season. An email from the team on Friday outlined a list of new guidelines as the Bengals and the NFL prepare for football.

The changes include:

  • Seating reductions – the first six rows in the lower bowl are blocked off
  • Facial coverings are required entering and exiting the stadium except for when eating and drinking
  • Social distancing throughout the stadium
  • Pre- and post-game field access is prohibited

At this point, concession stands remain open but also require social distancing.

The team says in the email it made these changes to ensure the health and safety of fans, staff and players.
