CINCINNATI -- After the Bengals helped send the Buffalo Bills to the playoffs by beating the Baltimore Ravens, happy Bills fans showed their appreciation by donating to the Andy Dalton and Tyler Boyd foundations.
Now, Bengals fans have donated about $5,000 to Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles' charitable foundation, WTLV in Jacksonville reported.
The donations came after ESPN1530 host Mo Egger encouraged Bengals fans to "pay it forward" by supporting the Blake Bortles Foundation in response to Jacksonville's 45-42 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday.
Thank you so much for your support, Mo! The response has been overwhelming, thanks to your act of kindness. We are so excited to put these donations to use as we continue to support our local #IDD and #firstresponders communities. Thank you!

"Fans are at the core of the football experience and it’s truly exciting and rewarding when they band together, regardless of the team they cheer for, to make a positive impact in the lives of others," Bortles told WTLV. "I greatly appreciate the support displayed by Bengals fans and they should know their support will make a difference."
According to its website, Bortles' foundation focuses on helping people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as first responders in Jacksonville and Oviedo, Florida. Click here for more information about the foundation.
