CINCINNATI — The Bengals picked up Defensive End Takkarist McKinley on waivers from the Atlanta Falcons the team said in a news release Wednesday evening.
McKinley, a former first-round pick of the Falcons, has played in 49 NFL games with the team, recording 76 tackles, 17.5 sacks and two passes defended, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.
Currently, the Bengals defense ranks 22nd in yards allowed, 18th in turnover differential according to ESPN.
To make room for McKinley, the Bengals put practice squad cornerback Brian Allen on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
