CINCINNATI — The weekend's planned "Who Dey Birthday" at the Christ Hospital hit a snag.
In honor of the Bengals' home opener, babies born at The Christ Hospital's Mt. Auburn and Liberty Township location Sunday were going to receive a free "Who Dey Birthday" onesie.
A brand deal got in the way. According to a hospital spokesperson, a representative from the Bengals called and asked them (very nicely, the spokesperson emphasized) not to use the onesies because the team has other healthcare partners. The hospital agreed.
The Christ Hospital works with a creative agency that designs giveaway onesies every month. According to the spokesperson, they had assumed the "Who Dey Birthday" would be OK because the hospital wouldn't profit off the Bengals-inspired onesies and hadn't used the team's logo.
