CINCINNATI - Xavier is back where it started in the Associated Press men's college basketball poll.
The Musketeers (6-0) climbed back to No. 7 in both major polls this week after losses by Indiana and Arizona dropped them out of the Top 10. Xavier had been No. 9 in last week's AP poll and No. 8 in the USA Today coaches poll.
Xavier was No. 7 in the AP preseason poll - its highest ranking to start a season - but dropped to 11th after barely beating Lehigh, 84-81, in its opener.
Cincinnati (5-1) dropped to 28th in the AP poll after losing to Rhode Island, 76-71. The Bearcats are 30th in the USAT poll.
Kentucky remained No. 1 in both polls followed by Villanova, North Carolina, Kansas, Duke and Virginia.
