WATCH: Cincinnati Reds fans reflect on season at last game

Posted

CINCINNATI -- Despite their losing season, thousands of Reds fans came out to Great American Ball Park Sunday afternoon to celebrate the last game of the season.

Will Campbell, of Anderson, was one of those fans in attendance for Sunday’s matchup between the Cincinnati Reds and the Chicago Cubs.

He said the season has had some high points and some low points.

“I don't know if I'm very much a good luck charm because all the games I attended--we happened to be on the losing side," Anderson said.

Chris Furnish, of Morehead, said he enjoyed the season overall.

"The reds were fun to watch this year--full of surprises--some good, some bad,” Furnish said.

This season, the Reds had the worst pitching record since 1901, but fans are optimistic the team has what it takes to turn it around.

“It’s got to be better, it can’t be worse,” Furnish said.
