CINCINNATI — Two Cincinnati Reds players have tested positive for COVID-19, a team spokesperson confirmed Thursday morning.

Neither player lives in Cincinnati or had been in Cincinnati at the time of their diagnosis. The tests were performed elsewhere.

The team did not release the names of the players or clarify whether any other staff or players could be at risk of contracting the virus.
