CINCINNATI -- The Reds have not tendered a contract to outfielder Billy Hamilton, making him a free agent, MLB.com reported Friday.
Hamilton, 28, hit .236 with a .299 on-base percentage last season, and made $4.6 million on a one-year contract.
The outfielder joined the Reds in 2013 and has been a fan favorite, stealing 277 bases and earning a .245 batting overage over his six seasons with Cincinnati.
Citing an anonymous source, MLB.com reported the Reds tried shopping Hamilton around for a trade, but found no takers.
I haven’t tweeted in awhile my bad twitter what’s good?
