Host

A graduate of Oak Hills High School and Ohio University, Pete previously worked as morning anchor at WBNS-TV (10TV) and “Good Day Columbus” on WSYX-TV (ABC 6) and WTTE-TV (FOX 28) in Columbus, Ohio, and morning anchor at “Dayton’s News Source” on WKEF-TV (ABC 22) and WRGT-TV (FOX45) in Dayton, OH. Pete also worked as traffic/spot news reporter at WLWT-TV (NBC 5) in Cincinnati — where he proposed to his wife, Amy on live TV.

Pete was also co-creator and host of “City Nights,” a live, weekly cable access show in northern Kentucky featuring live music from local and regional acts.

A consummate performer, Pete has also toured with Cincinnati funk bassist Freekbass, and survived a summer tour with Chicago guitarist TD Clark — opening for rock legends Bad Company and Ted Nugent. Pete also sings and plays keyboards with his dad in their band “Snidely Whiplash.”

Diagnosed with severe rheumatoid arthritis at age 30, Pete has openly shared his journey with RA — including multiple joint replacement surgeries — and is actively involved with the Arthritis Foundation at the local and national level.

Pete and his wife Amy are launching the The PSNeverGiveUp Foundation to provide hope and resources for others who are dealing with infertility issues while managing chronic illness.

Pete also created The Pete Scalia PSNeverGiveUp podcast and online “movement” to inspire others to NEVER GIVE UP!

Pete and his wife Amy live in southeast Indiana with their three children and their dog, Pappy.
