During his inauguration speech, freshly minted Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine made a pledge to replace our region's favorite traffic bottleneck, the Brent Spence Bridge.
As we all know by now, the Brent Spence is structurally sound but functionally obsolete, causing near-daily traffic jams, road rage and an increase in alcohol consumption.
DeWine even called out Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin, whose commonwealth actually owns the Brent Spence. Now that DeWine's in charge, I'm sure all our friends in Kentucky will suddenly support a toll to help pay for the replacement bridge.
Or perhaps DeWine will convince Donald Trump to reopen the government and find a way to get federal infrastructure money for it. Or maybe a GoFundMe page. Or what about...
