FORT THOMAS, Ky. — Several landslides closed a nearly four-mile stretch of the Mary Ingles Highway in Campbell County Thursday as crews work to clear the roadway.

WATCH crews clear up the dirt and debris:

The highway, also known as Old Route 8, is closed between River Road and Tower Hill Road, according to Nancy Wood, a public information officer for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.

One crew was working to clear dirt and tree limbs from the road across from the Aquaramp Marina, according to reporter Dan Carroll.

There was visible damage to other parts of the the Mary Ingles Highway affected by the landslides, including large cracks in the road.

The stretch of road is closed “until further notice.”
