CVG again claims lowest average domestic airfares in region

HEBRON, Ky. — Flying into Cincinnati isn't just convenient for Tri-State residents — it's also comparatively cheap.

Average airfare rankings released by the U.S. Department of Transportation Thursday list Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport as having the lowest domestic average airfares in the region during the third quarter of 2018, according to a news release from the airport.

CVG, with an average domestic fare of $310, compared itself to Indianapolis, Columbus, Louisville, Dayton and Lexington to claim having the lowest airfares in the region.

  • Lexington - $421

CVG remained ranked at 83rd overall, the same ranking it had during the same period in 2017 and its best ranking since the report was first published in 1995, according to the news release.
