CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Police canceled a statewide Amber Alert early Thursday morning after an hourslong manhunt resulted in the arrest of 34-year-old Neil Perin, who authorities said had kidnapped his three children from their home in Athens, Ohio.
Perin has a history of violence, police said when they announced the alert, and had taken his children -- an infant and two toddlers -- after a domestic dispute.
He was arrested in Cleveland shortly after midnight. All three children were recovered safely.
