WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE, Ohio — The Fayette County Sheriff's Office is investigating the murder of a Cincinnati woman in a Washington Court House apartment complex Monday evening.
Deputies responded to the Pine Tree Apartment complex on Joanne Drive at approximately 6 p.m. for a report of a man shooting a woman.
Upon arriving, they found a woman dead at the scene with multiple gunshot wounds, and they also found a man suspected of shooting the woman exiting an apartment building on Joanne Drive.
The victim was identified as 20-year-old Lilliana M. Null of Cincinnati.
Deputies arrested Joseph A. Brown of Washington Court House, charging him with aggravated murder.
"Preliminary information received in the investigation indicates that Brown and Null recently separated and that Null was reportedly bringing their infant child to the residence for visitation," read a release from the Fayette County Sheriff's Office.
The infant was not harmed and is now in the custody of Fayette County Children's Services.
Brown is being held in Fayette County Jail and will appear in Washington Court House Municipal Court on Tuesday.
