Bourbon lovers, rejoice!

Ohio’s annual bottle lottery starts early next month, meaning you could score the chance to purchase rare spirits from Sazerac, one of the nation’s top beverage companies.

Fans of Buffalo Trace and Pappy Van Winkle will be able to enter for a chance to purchase one of five kinds of bottles in two lotteries, Ohio’s Superintendent of Liquor Control Jim Canepa announced.

From Pappy Van Winkle, you could win the chance to buy:

  • Old Rip Van Winkle 10, $69.99
  • Old Rip Van Winkle 12, $79.99
  • Pappy Van Winkle 15, $119.99
  • Pappy Van Winkle 20, $199.99
  • Pappy Van Winkle 23, $299.99

And from Buffalo Trace’s Antique Collection ($99.99 each), you could score:

  • Eagle Rare 17
  • George T. Stagg
  • Sazerac Rye 18
  • Thomas H. Handy
  • William Larue Weller

The lottery opens here from Dec. 2-13, and winners will be notified in early January. The list of winners will also be posted online.

There’s no cost to enter one or both lotteries, but you can only enter each one once. Winning one lottery doesn't disqualify you from the other, either.

Of course, you have to be 21 or older to enter, so have your Ohio driver’s license ready if you enter online.
