COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The victim of an April 29 burglary was too busy rocking out to notice the men who snuck into her apartment and stole her television, according to Columbus police.

The woman was listening to "Whip It" by DEVO at such a high volume she never heard two men enter her unlocked apartment and make off with the TV.

A home security system recorded the men cautiously entering the living room and looking around for occupants before donning gloves and grabbing their loot.

DEVO, meanwhile, continued to extoll the virtues of cracking that whip and giving the past a slip.

It's not too late to whip this case good, Columbus police said in a Facebook post. Anyone with information about the theft, which occurred April 29 at Ashton Pines Apartments and Townhomes, should contact the Columbus Division of Police at 614-645-2257.
