CINCINNATI — Your sweet tooth could help people in Dayton and the greater Miami Valley area rebuild their lives following the devastating wave of tornadoes that uprooted trees and reduced homes to splinters on Memorial Day.
Busken Bakery announced Monday it plans to begin selling a special sugar cookie benefiting Dayton-area charities. The cookie is decorated with red and white sprinkles, a design in the shape of Ohio and the hashtag #DaytonStrong.
It will be available at all 8 Busken Bakery locations for $2.95 per cookie. “A large portion of the proceeds” — Busken’s announcement did not specify how much — will be donated to the Greater Dayton Disaster Relief Fund.
Anyone wishing to make a direct donation to the fund, which distributes money among local groups working directly with tornado victims, can do so here.
