DELHI TOWNSHIP, Ohio — One person is dead and one person escaped a house fire Wednesday afternoon, according to Chief Doug Campbell.
A woman, later identified as 59-year-old Rhonda Dulle, was found dead inside the home, but Campbell said her body appeared to be already decomposing when officials located the body. Authorities are working to talk to the woman's son, who escaped the home after the fire.
Campbell said the son is cooperating, lives with developmental disabilities, and that there is "nothing suspicious on his part at this point."
Crews quickly extinguished the fire on Tahoe Terrace, but search crews found a person dead inside the home, Campbell said.
“When we arrived on the scene we had one occupant of the building outside had advised that another occupant was possibly trapped inside ... we did find one victim," Campbell said.
