FORT THOMAS, Ky. — One person is dead after a crash on Interstate 275 Tuesday morning, according to Highland Heights police.
Barry Hall, of Loveland, Ohio, was driving a Chevrolet Silverado eastbound at about 7:50 a.m. when he crashed into the rear of a tractor-trailer parked in the emergency lane just before the Combs-Hehl bridge, police said.
Hall was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the semi was in the sleeper birth at the time of the crash and not hurt. Police cited him for illegally parking
The crash remains under investigation. Police said it wasn't clear what had caused Hall to drive in the emergency lane. They asked any witnesses to call the Campbell County Dispatch Center at 859-292-3622 and ask for Lt. Greg Haigis with Highland Heights police.
