BROOKVILLE, Ind. — The Indiana State Fire Marshal has identified two men who died in a mobile home fire in rural Franklin County earlier this month.

Crews received a report of a mobile home fire at 1:45 a.m. on Dec. 9, and they arrived to find a home on Ripley Pike engulfed in flames. A third man at the scene told investigators he woke up to smoke in the home and fire on the porch. He escaped with minor abrasions and smoke inhalation, and he was treated at the scene.

After the fire was out, investigators determined the only source of heat inside was a wood-burning stove.

On Friday, investigators said 56-year-old David Estridge and 50-year-old Ron Emery died in the fire.

No foul play is suspected, and the fire remains under investigation.
