Lawrenceburg Police: residents should look out for fake $100 bills

LAWRENCEBURG, In — Residents and business owners should be aware of counterfeit $100 bills circulating in the the Lawrenceburg area, the police department said in a Facebook post on Wednesday.

Authorities said they've found the bills in a number a places and on a number of different people.

Police said the fake money feels more like paper than official U.S. currency and has different symbols and markings, including what may be some form of Asian writing.

The Lawrenceburg Police said to not accept the bills as payment and not to try and pass the bills if you have one in your possession.
