DILLSBORO, Ind. — A high school wrestling coach requested and received nude photos from a female student earlier this year, according to Indiana State Police.
Karl Hoffrogge, 20, of Dillsboro, Indiana, obtained the photos through a social media site in January and February 2019. Hoffrogge was an assistant wrestling coach at South Dearborn Middle School in Aurora, Indiana, where the victim was a student.
Hoffrogge was charged with possession of child pornography and turned himself in Friday at the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center.
The investigation began in May 2019 when a cyber tip was provided to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Indiana State Police detectives with the Indiana Crimes Against Children Unit conducted the investigation.
Hoffrogge was jailed in Dearborn County pending his initial appearance in the Dearborn County Circuit Court.
