CINCINNATI — A nonprofit in Over-the-Rhine hopes to feed tens of thousands of families in the Tri-State for Thanksgiving.

Freestore Foodbank is hosting its annual Thanksgiving Holiday Food Distribution from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday at 112 East Liberty Street. The foodbank will distribute meals at the same time and location on Tuesday.

Each household will receive a bag of produce, a turkey and a box containing holiday food items.

Freestore Foodbank fed about 18,000 people in the Tri-State last year, according to President and CEO Kurt Reiber. Reiber said he expects to see a similar amount of people this year.

It takes about 900 volunteers to execute the Thanksgiving distribution, Reiber said.

The foodbank is looking for volunteers to help with the Christmas food drive. Click here for more information.
