CINCINNATI -- If your mind is at the beach but your body is in Cincinnati, travel consultant Janet McLaughlin said the time is now to plan and book flights for spring break.

McLaughlin shared some tips on how to plan for your next getaway.

"At this time of year, everyone wants to get out of dodge, and you can't blame them," she said.

With more low-cost airlines at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, there may be cheap flights to warm destinations like Florida. Many cruises are on sale now. Also, all-inclusives can give you more bang for your buck.

But your destination may ultimately come down to your budget. Pricing will depend on hotels, length of stay and whether you fly or drive.

"There are many places you can go to from the Greater Cincinnati area by car within six hours," McLaughlin said.

Also, if you have teenagers, they'll likely need chaperones.

"What a lot of the hotels now are requiring is that mom and dad or an adult stay in each room with the spring breakers," McLaughlin said.

There are just 64 days until spring.
