CINCINNATI -- Probably the best fried chicken in existence is considering coming to Cincinnati for the first time.
Bojangles' -- a fried chicken and biscuits chain restaurant primarily located in the Southeast -- is seeking franchise owners to help the company expand to Cincinnati, according to a news release from Bojangles' spokesman Cliff Cermak.
This is a deeply emotional announcement for me and likely many other Cincinnatians who have migrated from the southern U.S.
In addition to Cincinnati, Bo's wants to open restaurants in Louisville and Evansville, Indiana. Right now, restaurants are located only in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia and Washington D.C.
Bojangles' is absolutely amazing, according to myself and my taste buds. The restaurant's chicken biscuits are the perfect breakfast, lunch and/or dinner. The chicken itself is just delectable -- it's definitely greasy, but not too greasy. It's crispy and perfect. Bojangles also has Cajun chicken, which is delightfully spicy, and pairs well with a honey and butter-smothered buttermilk biscuit.
The chain's sides alone blow any other drive-thru restaurant's out of the water: macaroni and cheese, dirty rice and Cajun pinto beans, among others. Bojangles' has truly Southern sweet tea, too -- the kind that gives you a toothache after two swigs.
And I'm not the only person crazy about Bojangles': This couple had Cajun chicken biscuits at their wedding.
And this guy decorated his graduation cap with a Bo's box and drink cup.
So, if you're looking for your next business venture in the Queen City, this is my personal plea to consider franchising a Bojangles' restaurant. I promise that I, solely, will be the source of a disgusting amount of business.
