WEST CHESTER TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- Have you ever watched "The Hobbit" or "Lord of the Rings" and thought, "Wow, I wish I were as awesome with a bow and arrow as Legolas"?
Well, keep dreaming.
No one will ever be as good as Legolas. Elven eyes are simply better than human eyes, giving them an advantage in archery.
But now you can at least try.
Archery Arena, the first combat archery sports arena in the Midwest, opens Sunday.
"This is a game that's a lot like dodgeball except with bows and arrows," co-founder Bradey Jobson said. "It's just a lot more fun to shoot a bow and arrow."
If you don't know how to shoot a bow and arrow, have no fear: Archery Arena has you covered.
"Most people that come in don't actually know how to shoot a bow and arrow," Jobson said. "So we train everyone, give them plenty of experience and then let them loose."
Training isn't so much a rigorous gauntlet of practice a la your favorite film montage; rather, it's 15 minutes of instructions on how to use the equipment before each game.
You can find more information on pricing for Archery Arena and group games on its website.
